Open Choir Fire Plays Music!

"In Each Appropriate Everlasting And Not"

  • The Things You Have To Do.mp3
  • Candle.mp3
  • Oh Grace.mp3
  • Nice And Neat.mp3
  • Pooh Crisis.mp3

This is our latest EP. We are very proud of it. Johnny Sangster recorded and mixed it at Egg Studios. For the recording part Johnny was assisted by a nice fellow named Andy. We had a great time recording this music and hope you have a great time listening to it. As always T. Chris Hacker is responsible for the wonderful artwork.

"Mississippi Painful"

  • I Hear Voices.mp3
  • The Long Way.mp3
  • Little Lady.mp3
  • Out Of It.mp3
  • Late Last Night.mp3

The name for this album is definitely one of the best we've ever thought of. These songs were recorded at Steve and Sarah's house in an excited alcoholic haze. We were planning to record on Andy's reel to reel that day and it wasn't until after everything was set up that we discovered it didn't work. Terry went out and got his 4-track. Two 12-packs and eight hours later we had a bunch of songs recorded.

"Water/Blue"

  • Catholic Guilt.mp3
  • Big Fish.mp3
  • Raid On Your Crabs.mp3
  • Lay Down.mp3
  • Rally Round The Glory Flag.mp3

While "Water" is not agreed upon by the members of Open Choir Fire as the official name for this collection of songs, it seems appropriate. It was recorded by BiPolar (Marc, Justin) in Steve and Sarah's basement. It was then mixed by Steve Hass out of the kindness of his heart.

"Demo/Black"

  • Sixteen Candles.mp3
  • When My Ship Comes In.mp3
  • Is There Something Scary Out There?.mp3

This is a demo we recorded shortly after Brian joined the band. We did it in the practice space on Terry's 4-track.

"Jason's Basement"

  • At Best.mp3
  • The Pooh Crisis.mp3
  • Pirate.mp3

True to the sloppy handwriting above, these songs were recorded by Jason, in Jason's basement. He has quite a nice little setup down there as you may be able to tell. We had fun and we are grateful for his tireless efforts. And he did a pretty damn good job mixing it. We are glad to finally get the "Pooh Crisis" on tape. "Pirate" is an awe inspiring, back of the neck hair-raising, goose pimpler. I think "At Best" is Jason's favorite.

"Live at KGRG"

  • Candle.mp3
  • Oh Grace.mp3
  • Step Inside.mp3
  • Is There Something Scary Out There?.mp3
  • Back To You.mp3

Thanks to Sharlese and Matt for allowing us to come into their radio station and play some of our songs. Brian was out of the country and also the studio was too small to house a three piece. So it was just Terry and me. The first two are rock songs played real quiet like by yours truly on acoustic guitar. The next two are old ones that we felt were appropriate. The last one is an awesome song Terry wrote that I've always admired.

"Live at the Crocodile"

  • Long Hair.mp3
  • Nice And Neat.mp3
  • Get Hard.mp3
  • Step Inside.mp3

Didn't even break a string. Here's three unrecorded songs plus one old favorite.
